Now is the time to show your holiday spirit and generosity. Chalice is joining Interfaith Community Services (ICS) to show some families that they have not been forgotten. Chalice collects ongoing material donations for Interfaith Community Services and Center for Community Solutions. We collect non-perishable food, diapers, baby food, and children’s clothing. The collection bins are in our Fellowship Kitchen.

Chalice volunteers prepare and serve a monthly dinner at Haven House, Interfaith Community Services’ Year-Round Emergency Shelter. Volunteers are encouraged to dine with Haven House residents, sharing fellowship and providing support.

The weekend of October 26-27, 24 Chalice congregants and friends traveled to Tijuana to work with Casas de Luz to build a 16×24 sf home for a single mother with five young children.

After services on November 3, eight Chalice congregants prepared 150 sack lunches for ICS (Interfaith Community Services). ICS provides these sack lunches to food-insecure clients, many of whom are guests for breakfast.

November 2016 and 2015: A dozen people from Chalice served Thanksgiving meals to people in need with Interfaith Community Services.

September 2016 and October 2015: We spent a Saturday morning putting together boxes of food for individuals in need.
