On Sept 15 at 7:15 pm in the Common Room, the Chalice Women’s Book Club will be discussing “Lawrence in Arabia” by Scott Anderson.

A novel that tries to answer “How did a painfully shy Oxford archaeologist without a single day of military training become the battlefield commander of a foreign revolutionary army and the political master strategist who foretold so many of the Middle Eastern calamities to come?”

Our facilitator will be Ann Cunningham. Please come and join us for a stimulating and fun evening, discussing the book and all the other topics, ideas and experiences that we share at our meetings. Newcomers are welcome.

October’s book will be:” The 19th Wife” by David Ebershoff.

Chalice currently has three reading groups that meet monthly.  The Women’s Book Club meets on the 3^rd Tuesday, Readers’ Theater gathers on the 4^th Monday, and the Chalice Readers meet monthly on the 4^th Friday.
