Winter Solstice Celebration at Chalice
Saturday, December 21
4:00 pm to 8:00 pm
The Family Ministries Team is hosting a Winter Solstice Celebration on Saturday, December 21st from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
Some of you may know that the format of this year’s holiday celebration is a little different than in previous years…
But that shouldn’t deter you from joining us!
As Unitarians, our mission is to create an environment where all faiths, beliefs, traditions and practices are respected and celebrated.
And that’s what our Winter Solstice Celebration is all about because this gathering will have something for everyone!
Whether you want to socialize with Chalice friends and family, reflect as you take an Advent spiral walk, enjoy activities for adults and children, participate in sing-a-longs or savor delicious, warming foods…this is an event you don’t want to miss.
Reverend Sharon will open the event by lighting the chalice and calling the directions. The Hub will also be open for dining and family activities, so if you want to stay warm and visit with friends, we invite you to cozy up in this new space!
If you have never participated in a Winter Solstice event, you’re in for a treat. In addition to some of your favorite holiday traditions, we will also introduce you to some new celebrations. How fun will it be to expand on your current family traditions and activities during this festive season?!
We will be serving simple warming foods during the Winter Solstice Celebration and we invite you to join us in preparing this potluck! Use SignUp Genius to sign up for a particular dish you’d like to share with everyone.
Looking forward to celebrating with you on December 21st!
(And remember, you can sign up to participate in the potluck HERE.)
