Unitarian Universalism has a great tradition of lay preaching, and we’ve been blessed to hear several wonderful sermons this past year from some of our worship associates.
Now it’s time to ask: Do you have a sermon in you? Come find out! Rev. Sharon is offering a four-session class to work with congregants on developing a sermon for the coming year.
If you aren’t sure you’d want to give a Sunday sermon, don’t worry! Taking the class is not a commitment (or a guarantee) that you’ll end up preaching on a Sunday morning; that’s something Rev. Sharon will talk to you about.
We’ll use the book The Shared Pulpit: A Sermon Seminar for Lay People by Erika Hewitt as our workbook for the class. The book is $14; if purchasing the book is prohibitive, please let Rev. Sharon know, and she can arrange for a copy for you.
If you’re interested, please email Rev. Sharon to sign up.
