What’s happening right now in the US has parallels with 1930s Berlin, when the Third Reich almost entirely erased a thriving trans community and medical establishment and set our progress back nearly a century. This sermon is a wakeup call to liberals and progressives that the time for drastic action is now if lives are to be saved and progress preserved. 

Rev. Steven Leigh Williams (he/they) has been serving communities (UU and beyond) through pastoral care, solidarity work, youth ministry, and radical love-centered organizing since 2008, with community education efforts in gender and sexuality, intercultural dialogue, and understanding the Holocaust and other genocides. They believe that Love at the Center necessarily prioritizes people at the margins. Rev. Steven is currently in transition from Broken Arrow, OK to a sanctuary state with his spouse Karyn, their two young adult kids, and a quartet of pets.
