The eight-day Jewish celebration known as Hanukkah (which means “dedication” in Hebrew) commemorates the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem, where Jews had risen up against their Greek-Syrian oppressors in the Maccabean Revolt. This year, Hanukkah begins at sundown on Sunday, Dec. 2^nd and lasts until sundown on Monday, Dec. 10^th. Join us for our first ever Hanukkah music service, where we will celebrate and explore this beloved holiday and its many symbols and traditions through story, song, and drama. This is the second Sunday of Advent.
